History: Brood mare who developed inoperable cataracts making her nearly blind.
Rescued from slaughter, she knows the layout of her paddock and is a joy to watch as she wanders free.

History: Rescued in 2001 with her mother Anna (who was diagnosed with cancer), Katie was unwanted as she was not growing fast enough.

History: Born with a club foot, her owner was going to have her put down. She leads a full life even if she does hobble about.

History: At the age of 3 his owner did not want him any longer and was going to have him put down. He has a thick coat, is a real character, and will happily follow us about the paddock.

History: One of three (the others are Bacon Rasher and Apple Sauce, all named by their previous owner) taken in; unwanted by the owner they were rescued from slaughter. All are now as happy as pigs in ... mud.
