History: From Ireland, racehorse then brood mare producing 18 foals in 22 years, after which she was deemed 'unwanted'.

History: Rescued in 2001 with her mother Anna (who was diagnosed with cancer), Katie was unwanted as she was not growing fast enough.

Breed: Welsh Pony
Age:   40
History: Her owner died and bequeathed that she spend the rest of her natural life being cared for at Willow Tree Stables.

Age:    13
History: Born with a club foot, her owner was going to have her put down. She leads a full life even if she does hobble about.

Age:    15
History: At the age of 3 his owner did not want him any longer and was going to have him put down. He has a thick coat, is a real character, and will happily follow us about the paddock.

History: When a farmer had to downsize his herd April was destined for the slaughterhouse for pet food. She may not be the prettiest cow but she makes up for it with her friendliness.

History: One of three (the others are Bacon Rasher and Apple Sauce, all named by their previous owner) taken in; unwanted by the owner they were rescued from slaughter.
